The Jazz Trio

A jazz trio is a jazz trio. Nothing more and nothing less are the Zurich musicians Florian Egli (saxophone), Raphael Walser (bass) and Jonas Ruther (drums) when they step on stage and let loose. For years they have been playing jazz standards in private sessions and later presented their music in public at the monthly events of "The Jazz Trio invites". From this has grown an extremely well-rehearsed band that has assimilated the stuff of jazz tradition without becoming frozen in it. The trio brings the tracks from the Great American Songbook into the present and gives them the timbre of the timeless with respect and their own focus.
